October 19, 2014 - Lake New Hogan
Bass-n-Tubes fished their final event of the 2014 season at Lake New Hogan on October 19th. This was a new lake on the BnT schedule so expectations were mixed.
There were eighteen anglers that made the trip and were rewarded with a perfect fall day of fishing. The lake was low and the bite could have been better but there were fish to be caught.
After the weights were tallied Mitch Teman came out on top with a five fish limit of 11.14 pounds. A drop shot with a 4.5" Roboworm, on rocks in 10-20 feet mostly, did the trick.
Scott Bernardo used a jig for five fish good for 7.28 pounds and a second place finish.
Rounding out the top three was Steve Williams. Steve used small plastics to fool the fish and finished the day with a limit good for 7.11 pounds of New Hogan's bass.
Congrats to Topper De La Rosa with a fat 3.47 pounder to take the big fish prize.
